Sous les traits de Wayne et sans l'approbation du syndicat, Rollin ordonne la mise à mort de Jim qui incarne un agent fédéral. Il parvient ensuite à s'introduire dans le coffre-fort des malfrats, situé dans leur quartier général, et à faire des doubles des divers enregistrements financiers. Mais le Syndicat n'apprécie guère de voir Rollin, alias Wayne, agir sans avoir reçu leur consentement. Ils ordonnent sa mise à mort.
