Die Zeichentrickserie „Die Patrick Star Show“ erzählt die Vorgeschichte von SpongeBobs bestem Freund: Bevor Patrick flügge geworden ist und in Bikini Bottom auf eigenen Beinen steht, lebt er noch – gemeinsam mit seiner Adoptiv-Schwester Squidina und seinem Opa – zu Hause bei den Eltern. Von seinem Zimmer aus – einem alten Fernseher – versucht er sich als Entertainer für die Nachbarschaft und veranstaltet die „Patrick Star Show“. Squidina hat sich entschlossen, ihrem Bruder als Produzentin der Sendung mit Rat und Tat zur Seite zu stehen.
